On the Road...in Deming...

Well guys...I got this all done last night and something happened...and it disappeared...never happened before...hope it doesn't happen again...it takes a long time to get these composed and published...so when you loose one...well, let's just say...it ain't good...

Any way, in this first picture you will see the "Bobbsy Twins", yep you guessed it...when Mike and Gene came out of their respective Coaches they were dressed alike...Lt. blue knit Golf shirts and Khaki shorts...now don-cha-tink that's kinda freeky...well, Shirley and I laughed a lot about that...that usually happens to the female gender not the male gender...Oh well, go figure!!??!!
Here is the road outta the park...it ain't good...but we did like it at this park and we will probably stay here again "if", we're ever through this part of the country again...it is about 2 miles ling this way then you are back on blacktop...
Now this is an orchard that is along the road to town...we decided that this was our first "Dried Fruit" orchard that we had ever seen...Get it??? "Dried Fruit"...Guess you had to be there...we laughed so hard...
Now this next picture is of a hay field...we were parked quite close to a dairy farm there are lots of them down here in the Southwest...We were up-wind from all the cows, which was a blessing...but the hay field did give us that touch of GREEN that we have been craving... Here you will see the Luna Deming Museum...we were told that it was a really good museum...that there were things in it that the Smithsonian wants to have in it...and the Customs House across the street was a great place to go too...so we went to town with these two places in mind along with a couple of errands and to find a good authentic restaurant ...Well we found a great Mexican restaurant...all the locals Mexicans and Good'ol'boys were there so we knew that we were in the right place...Right down to the sopipilos (sp?) with honey...YUMOOOOOOOO!

Well the museum and the customs house were closed for renovation... you might have known...but we had a great lunch and then went to Wally World...what more could you ask for???

When we got home there were visitors...Shirley had mad contact, earlier in the day, with a couple they had met on their first leg of travel out of Washington...they are Robert ands Myrna, Montana Owners...so, as this lives sends it's self to...they were able to stop and have dinner and spend the night with us before they headed out toward CA...In this picture you will see, from Left to Right, Myrna, Bob, Yours-truly, Shirley and Gene...Mike was behind the camera...we had a great time visiting and getting to know them and again Gene was the MAN at the BBQ Grill...made some outstanding burgers...
Poor Halle...she wanted to join the party...she has become quite good at this traveling bit... but she still barks occasionally and we really do try to keep her separated from others so that she wont. Thus...she is in the coach...watching...but as usually Shirley sent her in a treat...made her a happy girl.
Then there is always dessert (Chocolate Cake, Strawberries & Whipped Cream)...gonna have to quit that stuff...but it's soooo good...And Sir Gene...the BBQ King...
Here is a picture of the sunset...words...aren't enough...

Well guys I will stop and and publish this one before something else happens to it...But I do find myself in a catch-up mode again...Have patience...I'll "Get-er-Done"!!!
